Pillar One

Health

Protect the foundation: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual health, rest, and safety.

Why this pillar matters

Health comes first because every other area is harder to sustain when the body, mind, or environment is unsafe or overwhelmed.

What to pay attention to

  • Sleep, food, movement, medical and dental care
  • Stress, emotions, coping, and mental-health support
  • Faith, purpose, rest, creativity, and inner peace
  • Home, relationship, online, and emergency safety

Start small

  1. Name health and safety as a family priority.
  2. Choose one physical habit and one emotional habit for the next month.
  3. Reduce one harm, such as a draining commitment, harsh communication pattern, unsafe practice, or disrupted bedtime.

Use all four guiding principles

Turn insight into a family system.

Self-awareness

What patterns, feelings, strengths, or barriers are affecting this pillar?

Systems

What repeatable routine would make the helpful action easier?

Policies

What expectation or boundary should the household agree on?

Community

Who or what trustworthy resource could provide support?
