The activity completion date determines the rule era. FamilyPD keeps both supported rule sets available so older records are not evaluated under newer rules.

Column movement occurs after successful accrual of 225 approved CUs and completion of the required advancement process.
One CU generally equals 3 eligible unpaid hours or 6 paid supplemental-rate/stipend hours, unless a category states otherwise.
Title I-only educators and self-contained special education teachers may use the two-year track; other eligible employees generally use the three-year track.
Submit the Request for Column Advancement for the next contract year by June 1.
Complete all hours and coursework being used for the current advancement cycle by August 31.
Submit required documentation in ELMS by October 1 of the year the employee is advancing.

CCSD & CCEA announcement notices
These notices are tracked in the FamilyPD PGS Assistant because the activity date can change the result. Always verify the live joint announcement document before relying on a notice.
Qualifying post-date LinkedIn Learning CU accrual is limited to the CTE process for CTE teachers; non-CTE licensed employees cannot use post-date LinkedIn Learning activities under the tracked announcement.

Courses that convert self-identified professional-development hours into university credit are not accepted for CU accrual when completed on or after this date.

Coursework must align with the counselor assignment or licensure. Only identified approved courses may accrue CUs, and a Time-Based Activities form may be required.

CCEA's public microcredential page describes 5-CU credentials and up to 100 CUs, while the 9/1/26 PGS Reference Guide lists Digital Promise micro-credentials with a 50-CU maximum. For activities on or after September 1, 2026, verify the current PGS rule before relying on a promotional page.
